The termination of diplomatic relations with Taiwan will not affect the quality and efficiency of the vessels and seafarers’ documentation services currently provided by the Panama Maritime Authority.

The Panama Maritime Authority expresses to its customers, users, legal representatives, maritime safety surveyors, operators and/or owners of Panamanian-flagged vessels in Taiwan, that it recognizes the contribution of the actors involved in your maritime sector with whom we have had close connections of friendship and cooperation throughout the years, providing you support to international navigation, restating our commitment as the entity responsible for the Flag State Control, of facilitating such ships with the administrative, technical and social conditions that allow a safe navigation in compliance the United Nations Convention at Law of the Sea, and the maritime safety, pollution control and seafarers’ documentation regulated by the International Maritime Organization and the International Labor Organization.
