Belisario Porras ranked in Chambers Global 2026

We are pleased to share that our partner, Belisario J. Porras, has once again been ranked in Chambers Global 2026, a recognition he has maintained consistently over more than a decade.

Belisario heads the firm's Shipping department and has more than 25 years of experience advising shipowners, ship managers, international banks, and financial institutions across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. His practice spans maritime law, ship finance, corporate law, and banking law, with a client base that reflects the global reach of Panama's registry.

Beyond his practice, Belisario has contributed directly to the legal framework of the sector: he was a member of the drafting commission of Law 56 of 2008 on Ports and Law 50 of 2017 regarding Legal Incentives to Shipping Financing and Maritime Projects, and has authored the Trends and Developments chapter of the Chambers Global Practice Guide for Shipping Law, Panama Chapter, since 2018. He served as President of the Panama Maritime Law Association from 2015 to 2017.
