The National Immigration Service of Panama has established a moratorium on the residence address–change procedure, effective through December 31, 2025.
If you are a foreign national residing in Panama and have changed your address, it is important to update your registered domicile to avoid potential penalties, which may include fines, cancellation of your immigration status, or deportation proceedings.
Required documentation, depending on your housing situation:
Owned property:
Notarized copy of the public deed
Utility bill (electricity, water, or telephone)
Rented property:
Lease agreement
Utility bill (electricity, water, or telephone)
No deed or lease agreement:
Letter of responsibility
Certification signed before a Justice of the Peace indicating your place of residence
Utility bill (electricity, water, or telephone)
At Patton, Moreno & Asvat, we assist you in keeping your information up to date and safeguarding your immigration status.
