Panama opens US$3M consultancy to redesign its airspace

Panama's National Authority of Public Services (ASEP) has launched Public Tender No. 01-2026-Telco, opening an international competitive process to award a 20-year concession for mobile telephony operations in the country, including the allocation of 5G mid-band spectrum in the 3.5 GHz band.

Interested companies must demonstrate at least five years of mobile operating experience and a minimum active subscriber base of 500,000 users. Prequalification submissions are due by August 11, 2026. The concession award is projected for December 2026.
