Panama opens US$3M consultancy to redesign its airspace

The Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Panama (AAC) have launched an international consultancy process to redesign the Panama Flight Information Region (FIR Panamá/MPZL) under a Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) framework. The initiative, financed through a non-reimbursable contribution of US $3 million, is part of Panama’s strategy to modernize its airspace and expand operational capacity in line with international aviation standards.
Interested firms and consortiums are invited to submit Expressions of Interest by November 10, 2025.
